Government and local industry optimistic WiMax operators will be held for the Wimax internet service that is affordable, because the market economies of scale will be quickly achieved.

Suhono Harso Supangkat, special staff Minister for Communications and Information Technology (Communication and Information Minister), said the local industry does not need to worry too much for responding to the high costs that are borne by the operator of the tender results.



"According to our calculation, if the existing customer base above 100,000, the terminal price of the CPE [customer premise equipment] will be getting cheaper," he said.
According Suhono, for any payment frequency, the operator will pay up front fee (the cost in advance) with a specified percentage of capital expenditure. With that, the operator has to calculate his courage in allocating expenditures device.
"They've dared to take on the WiMAX business model, how many potential users in the region and how it can provide cheaper services. The hope with the scale of the use of a lot in 15 zone, CPE and base transceiver station [BTS] can be cheap, "he explained.
